Prices start from AUD$3000 for a 50cm x 40cm head and shoulders oil painting.
Andrew, to have my portrait painted, do I need to come to your studio?
Sometimes the sitter comes to my studio. Or I can visit you the next time I am in your city. If I visit you, I will make sketches, take photos and then complete the painting in my studio.
How long will it take?
From when I begin the painting until it is framed and hanging in your home, please allow at least 6 weeks for me to complete the painting – including time for the painting to dry.
Can I just send you a photograph?
My mission is to create a compelling, beautiful, unmistakable portrait. To achieve this I take my own photographs and I also draw preliminary sketches.
If the subject has already passed away, I will look at all your available photographs and assess whether I can create a meaningful portrait from your existing photographs.
What materials do you use?
I use the highest quality Belgian linen canvas and the finest artists oil pigments.
